What you will need for your new F1b goldendoodle puppy

What now??? What will he need??? We have adopted our puppy and he'll be home any day. What do I need to buy???

Find a Vet that comes highly recommended in your area.
Crate, get a medium size 30" will do. It's also nice to have one for the car.
Crate pads, get the ones with washable covers.
Safe chew toys, I find that Kong toys, chew ropes and Nylabones are favorites. Never give your puppy a toy that can be swallowed. Do not leave your puppy alone while playing with toys.
Healthy training treats, there are many on the market today. Cheerios work very well when the puppy is small, just be sure not to over do it.
Retractable leash, this makes the whole walking thing more enjoyable for you and your puppy.
Puppy food, the one we start your puppy on is 4 Health, premium puppy and dog food. You can get this food from your local Tractor Supply store. We have all of our dogs on this food and just love what it has done for them. Your puppy will come home with a sample.
Be sure to order his vitamins as soon as you get him. There will be a sample in his "Puppy Pack" with the phone # and code to use when ordering.
You might want to consider a pet gate or pet play pen, to use in areas that puppy will not be allowed to roam freely and also near stairs. We use a puppy play pen and I dearly love it.
MOST IMPORTANT is lots of love and patience, Remember he is a baby and it will take time for him to understand what you expect of him. This will be the first time he's away from his mommy, siblings and us. You may want to consider the two week training that we offer. $350. for a two week Head Start training program.
Puppy proof your house, get down on the floor and look around for all the hidden dangers. (cords, small toys, shoes, socks, computer lines, small electronics. They are like small children, everything goes in the mouth!

You can fly here and pick your puppy up. We can meet you at the airport with your puppy. Providing the puppy and carrying case are under 20 lbs. you can carry him/her on-board with you on your return trip.

We can also ground ship your puppy to your door by our personal transport. The cost for this service will be around $450.00. The fee may vary due to distance and gasoline cost.
As always you are welcome to pick your puppy up in person. We love to meet all of our puppy parents and get to know them and at that time we can answer any questions you may have concerning your puppy and his care. We are located just 14 miles from the Morehead Ky. I-64 exit.
Time permitting, we will also do a two week training for crate and leash, and some commands if possible. The fee for this is $350. I start this training when the puppy is 6 weeks old so when it's time for him to go home there aren't any delays.
